Meet Dr. Timothée

Dr. Janice Timothée loves being an orthodontist because it gives her the opportunity to significantly improve people’s lives. “I enjoy the art and science of correcting misaligned teeth, but what I truly love is to see the transformation of my patients on a psychological level,” she says. “There is nothing more rewarding to me than a happy, satisfied patient stepping out of the chair with a new smile, ready to face the world with excitement and confidence.”

Dr. Timothée, or “Dr. T” as she is called by colleagues and friends, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and she completed her dental training at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry. During dental school, she decided to serve her country by joining the United States Air Force, where she was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship. After graduating with honors, she completed an additional year at an Advanced General Dentistry residency and served for four years as a general dentist in Japan.

Dr. Timothée went on to receive her orthodontic training through the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency program at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. During her 12 years in active duty, she was the Chief of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, taught orthodontics to general dentistry residents, and was awarded the Commendation and Meritorious medals.

As a result of Dr. Timothée’s extensive training in general dentistry, she is able to create comprehensive treatment plans where all aspects of oral health are taken into consideration. She continuously pursues professional education opportunities and utilizes state-of-the-art technology in her practice, which includes digital X-rays with less radiation, aligners, laser technology, and temporary anchorage devices.

“My goal is to give my patients top notch quality treatment in a caring and family-oriented environment,” Dr. T says. “I love how I get to know my patients during treatment and come to consider them part of the family.”

Dr. Timothée and her husband Chris are the proud parents of two daughters, Janelle and Julianna. When she is not at the office building beautiful smiles, Dr. Timothée enjoys being involved at her church, and she loves spending quality time with her family. Her favorite hobbies include traveling, dancing, and going to her favorite spot on the planet…the beach!
